Judith Brust Announces Summer 2014 Exhibition Schedule

Just in time for the official launch of the bustling Nantucket summer season, exhibitions featuring works by Judith Brust will open in May 2014. “Abstracted,” showcasing pieces by artists Judith Brust and Judy Friday, will debut May 30 and run through June 15 at The Gallery at Four India in town.  An exhibition opening reception and an opportunity to meet the artists will take place May 30 from 6-8 p.m.  The gallery is located at 4 India Street, on the second floor above Nantucket Gourmet. University of Albany Permanent Collection Selects Recent Art by Judith Brust

Judith Brust is pleased to announce the selection of five of her recent works for the University at Albany’s permanent collection.  They are installed in the new award-winning School of Business building at the University at Albany.  The 96,000-square-foot, $64 million facility, designed by the New York office of Perkins+Will, has been awarded gold LEED certification and has been chosen as "fourth most beautiful business school in the world" in a recent survey.  Judith received both an M.A. and and M.F.A. from University of Albany and has endowed an annual art student scholarship at the university.  The University at [...]

Artist Studio Demonstration During Nantucket Arts Festival

As an active member of the Nantucket arts community, we were excited to open the studio to the public on October 7 during the Nantucket Arts Festival, a 10-day celebration of arts and culture on the island.  The event is a signature event of the Nantucket Arts Council, a nonprofit organization we're proud to support.Nantucket Arts Council president Dan Driscoll and executive director Bill Ferrall were both on hand at the open house and demonstration to document the afternoon with footage that will be included in the Arts Festival wrap video being compiled to show highlights of the Festival activities. We’re counting down the days to our solo exhibition in Captiva, Florida!

All the artwork has been delivered and the publicity campaign has begun.  The beautiful Captiva Civic Center is where the exhibition will be displayed, featuring 14 contemporary monoprints and mixed media pieces.
